Can I measure and order sleeves myself? If so, how do I do it? Since it will be special order, what are the price ranges.
    Thank You, Phyllis

    Hello Phyllis,

Thank you for your interest in Gottfried Medical Compression garments. We do not sell the garments directly to the patients or consumers. They are only available for ordering through a healthcare provider, hospital or clinic. All of our custom made supports require a prescription from a doctor with a specific diagnosis, compression range and style of garment needed. If you are a patient in need of a garment, please call 1.800.537.1968 during normal business hours and our customer service team will be more than happy to help you find a healthcare dealer in your area.

If you are a therapist and would like help with our preferred measuring techniques, we will be happy to provided training on preparation of an order. Again, all you need to do is call the 800 number and ask for assistance. It’s that easy.

Do you rent lymphedema pumps? Also, if a person has Medicaid with no secondary insurance, do you know if medicaid covers any of the cost for a lymphedema pump? Please advise..thanks!

  • Moderator 3:26 pm on January 27, 2011 | #

    HI Carla,

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, Gottfried Medical does not rent Lymphedema pumps and since the insurance varies widely from state to state, I cannot advise you regarding the reimbursement.

The best solution would be a referral from your treating physician to a Healthcare facility for guidance in the right direction. If your treatment requires compression stockings, we will be happy to assist you!

My wife has been treated for Lymphedema (both legs and left arm and hand ) (*) whereby she obtained fitted leg,arm and hand compression garments through Knueppel Healthcare products. Her OT provided a lighter duty “night time” glove, to provide a little “Relief” to her hand overnight. Can you supply my Doctor with some “spare” gloves? He can provide a prescription.

We appreciate you contacting us. Unfortunately we do not make OTC lymphedema gloves. We do manufacturer a nighttime custom glove which we can provide though Knueppels. If the sized glove you got from the OT seems to be working you might ask the OT where she got it? If it is labeled ask Kneuppels if they can provide it.

I have attempted to wear compression stockings in the past unsuccessfully as I have a bracelet effect around one ankle -almost like a stricture. The stocking fabric seemed to pool in this area like a ligature and within an hour I had a white foot with no palpable pulse. I wear compression bandaging with extra padding around that ankle which reduces my lower leg to normal size but the narrowing around my ankle remains. I was told by the fitter 4 years ago that custom made stockings would not work for me for that reason. I see you do a lot of different options. Is there something that would make your compression stockings an option for me? I would love to get out of these wraps!

Thank you for your interest in Gottfried Medical made to measure compression garments. Unfortunately, I would have to agree with your fitter. While there a a multitude of options that can be engineered into a garment, there are none that I could recommend for your unique anatomical concern.
